Dave started coon hunting in 1994 and competitive squirrel hunting in 2015. He travels and competes on a national level in full elimination style events across the United States. He currently hunts competitively in NSD and USDC events for Team OBX owned by Marty Muns. Dave has won 4 different state championships with 4 different dogs and has twice placed in the top 3 in world hunts. He recently won Reserve Champion at the 2023 NSD Junior Nationals and placed 4th in the 2023 NSD World Hunt. In addition to Team Kinetic, Dave is a Pro Staff member with Conkey’s Hound & Hunting Supply as well as with Southern Hound Hunting.
