Destiny Kiel
Destiny started running sled dogs when she was 10 years old, starting with her grandparents two Samoyeds. This is where she fell in love with the sport and the bond that it created with my teammates(dogs). Over the years she has been working on building her kennel and getting more involved in the dogsledding community. She has been on the board of two different clubs, to help make positive changes to keep this sport growing.
Her kennel is a mixture of rescue dogs and purpose bred sled dogs. She has had the amazing opportunity to work with one of the most influential kennels in the dog sledding world and be able to be a co-breeder with them. In the last 4 years she gravitated toward the competitive side of the dryland racing; placing in the top five and in the past 2 years placing first or second at the events.
Destiny's future goal is to be able to compete in the world championships and work on improving the lineage of her kennel.
When she is not racing, she enjoys teaching others about the history of dogsledding and dryland racing. Her kennel loves working with kids, giving demos and rides, to build enthusiasm for the sport. In the off season she dedicates time to obedience and just having fun from swimming in rivers and lakes to camping in the woods.
