Jim grew up hunting with his family and their Labrador Retrievers. He began training retrievers in 1984 and started running hunt tests in the spring of 1986. He is a founding member of the West Central Ohio Hunting Retriever Club, the oldest HRC Club in Ohio, and remains a member today.

Today, Jim is a full time handler and trainer who competes at all levels of AKC and UKC/HRC hunt tests, including the AKC Master National and HRC International Grand. He has trained dozens of personal and client dogs from Grand Hunting Retrievers to Master Hunters.

We lost Jim suddenly in 2021 but will never forget him.
