Vohne Liche Kennels, a full-service K-9 training facility for Police and Military Service Dogs, and Kinetic Performance Dog Food, named Investigator Joshua Czys and K-9 Tasja of the Town of Campbell Police Department in La Crosse, Wisconsin as the winners of the 2019 K-9 of the Year contest. Investigator Czys and Tasja will be awarded a one-year supply of Kinetic Performance Dog Food for the winning photo submission. In addition, Tasja’s winning photo will be featured in Kinetic and Vohne Liche media and marketing materials for 2019.
Investigator Czys and Tasja were selected as the winners by Vohne Liche owner, Ken Licklider, and other members of the Vohne Liche Team. “Investigator Czys and Tasja are a veteran K-9 team with years of great service together,” said Licklider. “It’s great to see these guys looking fit and still serving strong years after we first introduced them here at our kennel.”
“This is our fourth year working with Vohne Liche Kennels on the K-9 of the Year contest and we got another group of amazing entries this year,” added Dave Dourson, Co-Owner of Kinetic Performance Dog Food. “Teams like Investigator Czys and Tasja are great examples of why Vohne Liche is known as one of the best in the business when it comes to working police and military K-9 dogs and training.”
K-9 Tasja is a female Belgian Malinois and has been partnered with Investigator Czys since the fall of 2013. She is a dual purpose narcotic and patrol dog who also spends time with the SWAT unit. Tasja has also proven to be a major asset in community outreach and fundraising for the K-9 program.
